Description:

NGCP is proud and excited to offer the spring semester of our YOUTH THEATRE PROGRAM!

Running FEB - MAY 2025 and rehearsing Saturdays from 10:00am-1:00pm. Members of our youth program will learn the basics of stage craft and character exploration, along with an introduction to lighting and sound design.

Members will present what they have learned in a mainstage production in on May 10th.

The program is directed by NGCP artistic director, Foy Tootle, with actress/designer Julie Best.

Foy Tootle has 40 years of experience in theater and film, working with all ages and skill levels, from Oscar winning actors and directors to a 7-year-old stepping into a theater for the first time.

Julie Best has an MFA in Broadcast Design from SCAD, has acted in many theater productions, and designed sets for off-Broadway productions in NYC.

The program is directed by NGCP artistic director, Foy Tootle, with actress/designer Julie Best.

NGCP is proud and excited to announce the premiere of our FALL 2025 YOUTH THEATRE PROGRAM!

Running August 2025 through November 2025, and rehearsing Saturdays from 9-1, members of our youth program will learn the basics of stagecraft and character exploration, along with an introduction to lighting and sound design.

Meet Our Directors

Foy Tootle

Foy Tootle has spent the last 37 years working as an actor and director in theatre and film. He has worked as a lead actor in several full-length, independent films and as a day player in films by Academy Award-winning directors, Robert Redford and Robert Altman. He has professionally directed 47 plays during his long career. He has served as the Artistic Director for two well-renowned regional theatre companies, the Holly Theatre Company in Dahlonega, Ga and City Lights Theatre Company in Savannah, Ga. In addition, he taught theatre arts to middle and high school students for 5 years and hosted a successful Shakespeare Camp for Kids for 3 summers in Savannah, Georgia, teaching and directing children in scene work from several Shakespearian comedies. Currently, Foy serves as the Artistic Director for NGCP and the Green Mountain Theatre Co.

Julie Best

Julie Best has an MFA in Broadcast Design from SCAD, has acted in many theater productions, and designed sets for off-Broadway productions in NYC.
