Thespian of the Year Awards
Quashona Antoine and Matthew Johnson were celebrated as the 2025 Thespians of the Year by their fellow North Georgia Community Players during a dazzling Gala held on Saturday, April 26, at the Players’ beloved Dillard Theatre Playhouse.
Hosted by the always-entertaining Master of Ceremonies Rebecca Bilbrey, the evening also spotlighted Sam Warren and Sara Jones for their outstanding contributions to the theatre’s creative community.
More than 100 theater enthusiasts gathered for this special occasion, which featured a lively hour of musical cabaret performed by over 20 NGCP actors and singers. The celebration continued with dinner, dancing, and delightful company well into the night.
Quashona Antoine is a seasoned vocalist and music educator with over a decade of experience in performance and instruction.
Matthew Johnson has graced stages across the U.S. and Europe, with over fifty professional productions to his name.
It was an unforgettable night honoring the talent, passion, and spirit that make the NGCP community shine.
