2025 Summer Theatre Camp
June 16-20   9:30am-1:00pm
Grades 1-5

We are pleased to offer a drama camp for our younger Rabun County and visiting youth, directed by veteran director and NGCP Artistic Director, Foy Tootle.  Camp will be Monday - Friday, 9:30am-1pm, with a showcase on Friday, June 20 at 5pm.  All youth grades 1-5 are welcome. Campers will participate in drama activities, exercises, games and rehearsals to learn the in’s and out’s of the theater. Concluding the week will be a short performance by the wonderful young campers for friends and family to see! We hope to see you there!

When: June 16 - 20, 9:30am-1pm; showcase June 20  @ 5:30pm

Cost: $85; $75/camper if registering more than one family member

* Grades 1-5

*Snack will be provided; please bring a water bottle.

*Campers should wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes

Foy Tootle has spent the last 37 years working as an actor and director in theatre and film. He has worked as a lead actor in several full-length, independent films and as a day player in films by Academy Award-winning directors, Robert Redford and Robert Altman. He has professionally directed 47 plays during his long career.  He has served as the Artistic Director for two well-renowned regional theatre companies, the Holly Theatre Company in Dahlonega, Ga and City Lights Theatre Company in Savannah, Ga. In addition, he taught theatre arts to middle and high school students for 5 years and hosted a successful Shakespeare Camp for Kids for 3 summers in Savannah, Georgia, teaching and directing children in scene work from several Shakespearian comedies.  Currently, Foy serves as the Artistic Director for NGCP and the Green Mountain Theatre Co. 

2024 Summer Theatre Camp
June 9-13    9am-4pm
Grades 6-12

We are pleased to once again offer a drama camp for our Rabun County and visiting youth, directed by Emma Jean Scott.  Camp will be Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm, with a showcase on Friday, June 13 at 5:30pm.  All youth grades 6-12 are welcome. Campers will participate in drama activities, exercises, games and rehearsals to learn the in’s and out’s of the theater. Concluding the week will be a short performance by the wonderful young campers for friends and family to see! We hope to see you there!

When: June 9-13, 9am-4pm; showcase June13 @ 5:30pm

Cost: $145; $125/camper if registering more than one family member

Emma Jean Scott is the daughter of Jake and Courtney Scott and is a 2021 graduate of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School. During her time at Rabun Gap Emma Jean played many roles including Cinderella in Into The Woods, Meg Murry in A Wrinkle in Time, and Tilly Evans in She Kills Monsters. She was awarded the 2021 vocal scholarship from the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia and was awarded a full scholarship to study acting at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. Emma Jean is currently a sophomore at Oglethorpe University and has most recently starred as Florence in their production of The Play that Goes Wrong, Annie in Evil Dead: The Musical, and was an ensemble member as well as Heather McNamara’s understudy in Actors Express’ production of Heathers: The Musical. Emma Jean is also a director, writer, and actor with S.T.E.P. Studio Inc and is currently directing a film of her own. She is over the moon to get to work with such young actors and hopes she can introduce them to the world of the stage. She hopes to leave an impression on these kids and teach them about her love of theater!

Advanced Musical Theatre Camp
July 14-18   1pm-5pm
Ages 10+

We are pleased to offer an Advanced Musical Theatre intensive for our Rabun County and visiting youth, directed by professional actor, singer, dancer, and director, Rebecca Wilcox Bilbrey.  Camp will be Monday - Friday,1pm-5pm, with a showcase on Friday, July 18 at 5:30pm.  All youth ages 10 and older with previous musical theater experience are welcome. Campers will improve their knowledge and skills in acting, singing, dancing and learn how to put it all together. Concluding the week will be a short performance by the wonderful young campers for friends and family to see! We hope to see you there! 

When: July 14 -18, 1pm-5pm; showcase July 18 @ 5:30pm

Cost: $145; $125/camper if registering more than one family member

* Ages 10+ with previous musical theater experience

*please bring a water bottle.

*Campers should wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes

Rebecca has been performing in the theatre for over 30 years. After studying at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts she began her career in Minneapolis, MN in 1997. Rebecca then spent 15 years performing between New York City and Los Angeles. Aside from stage acting she has also been in multiple TV shows and movies. She and her family moved to Otto, North Carolina in 2020 from New York City. Rebecca is currently teaching Tap and Musical Theatre in both Rabun and Macon Counties.

NGCP 2025 Summer Theatre Camp Registration

Please submit a separate form for each child being registered. You will need to complete this page and the payment, then return to the website to complete the process again for each subsequent student.

By checking the box below, I hereby sign and give permission for the camper listed above to participate in the NGCP Youth Theatre Program.  I hereby release and hold harmless NGCP, its members, and volunteers from all liabilities and any mishaps that may befall the camper including, but not limited to, the activities in the theater, back rooms, and outside the building.  In case of emergency, NGCP has my permission to secure emergency medical treatment for the child listed above.
