Carnelle Scott believes winning
the Miss Firecracker Contest in her small Mississippi town will restore
her soiled reputation until her cousin, the former Miss Firecracker,
unexpectedly arrives. Surrounded by her dysfunctional family and friends,
including another cousin fresh out of a mental institution, she learns the
value of loving oneself in the midst of disappointments and missed goals.
This comedy promises laughs and, maybe, a few poignant tears along the
way.
